Begun amongst the bucolic serenity of an Indiana farm, my life has been one crackpot crescendo stealing from the penumbras of silent obscurity. That first dulcet decibel sounded at the age of 13, when I donned a raked fedora and discovered singing standards to be a superior source of petty cash to flipping burgers. My run as “the Midwest’s youngest Sinatra impersonator” whisked me across the boards of local theaters, supper clubs, Italian restaurants, and retirement communities from Paris (Illinois) to Brazil (Indiana).
Years of cornfield crooning somehow opened such storied stage doors as New York City’s Birdland Jazz Club and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort in my current home of Orlando, FL. Through these melodious meanderings, I was privileged to hone my craft under a bevy of stage veterans including Michael Feinstein and Sandi Patty. Their mentorship inspired me to deepen my musical mastery by learning an instrument. Speakeasy legends of my great-great uncle Scatman Crothers wheedling sizable tips out of Al Capone and John Dillinger with his ukulele made my choice an easy one.
After nearly two decades traipsing stages large and small, my teenaged scheme for pocket change continues to evolve in an eclectic entertainment career. While day finds me toiling behind-the-scenes as a show writer/director with Disney Live Entertainment, evening allows me to don the many hats of a protean performer spanning genres, venues, and vibes. Whether you need scat-singing showman to command a room or a brooding bard to set a mellow mood, my greatest skill is curating a musical atmosphere that transforms your event into an experience.
